GEHMS Associate Instructor - JOB ID# 13279Recruitment began on May 16, 2025, and the job listing expires on May 24, 2025.The Glastonbury-East Hartford Elementary Magnet School is seeking one full-time associate instructor for the 2025-26 school year to work with students in social-emotional learning. The successful candidate will work under the direction of social workers and administration to provide in-class and pull-out instruction and groups. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: collaborative problem solving, teaching small group social-emotional learning lessons (with provided curriculum), student lunch bunch and interest group facilitation, pushing into classrooms, and collaborating with the school-based special education/services team.This position also functions as a utility role, supporting the school overall, including lunch/recess duties and substituting when necessary.Requirements:

• Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree. Preference is given to those with CT certification or related degrees in social work, psychology, guidance, or related fields.
• This is not a certified teacher position.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students and the ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively (both orally and in writing).
