Job Description:
Performance Foodservice, a leading national food distributor,
seeks a dedicated CDL A Driver to join our transportation team. As
a CDL A Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting our
wide range of food and food-related products to our valued
customers nationwide, including family-owned restaurants and large
chains. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation
for timely and reliable deliveries, contributing to the efficiency
of our logistics operations and the satisfaction of our customers.
Safely operate a tractor-trailer or truck to transport food and
related products to customer locations. Perform pre-trip and
post-trip inspections to ensure safety and compliance with
regulatory requirements. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all
goods are secured properly. Maintain accurate logs of travel and
cargo according to federal and state regulations. Provide excellent
customer service during delivery, addressing customer issues and
ensuring a positive experience. Adhere to company safety policies
and procedures to minimize risk on the road. Proficiency in
operating a commercial vehicle Knowledge of safety regulations and
traffic laws Ability to navigate efficiently Strong organizational
and time management skills Excellent physical fitness and ability
